So far, I’ve purchased three Porsche backpacks (including this latest one). I used to have a somewhat cynical view that “car brand goods are overpriced because of the brand name and might tear easily,” but in reality, that’s not the case at all.

With that said, this time I’d like to share why Porsche backpacks are actually quite useful.

I’m a Backpack Person for Work

By the way, when it comes to work bags, I’m definitely a backpack person. Whether I’m wearing a jacket or not, I always carry a backpack to work.

With a backpack, both hands are free, making it easier to move around. Especially after having kids, I’ve come to appreciate how convenient backpacks are for parenting.

Also, since I always carry my laptop when I’m out, typical women’s business bags tend to be a bit small for me. Of course, they’re stylish and pretty, but when I pack my things, they get stuffed and bulge out, which looks even worse.

So I prefer backpacks that can easily fit a laptop plus my wallet and other essentials, offering excellent storage capacity.

Porsche Backpacks Are Really Useful!

Having used three Porsche backpacks so far (though only three…), here are the three main reasons I love and rely on them:

“Durable,” “Roomy,” and “Unique—no one else has one.”

① Durable

Porsche backpacks have sturdy, high-quality fabric and are very durable. They’re not cheap (I rarely buy anything over 5,000 yen), but products in this price range tend to be well-made, and even after long use, they don’t wear out or tear.

This is the backpack I always take to the circuit.

I’ve attached a ton of straps I got from Porsche events, the PEC (Porsche Experience Center), and PTX (Porsche Track Experience)—it’s quite the jangly collection.

Lately, my daughter has been telling me, “Mom, that’s embarrassing, please stop,” so I’m thinking of cutting back on how many I attach… (laughs)

I use this backpack roughly—getting it wet at the circuit, stuffing it with kids’ snacks and clothes, putting it on the ground—and it’s totally fine. That durability is what I love most.

② Roomy

Of the backpacks I own, this one has the best storage capacity.

The top opens wide, letting you stuff in just about anything, making it super convenient. It’s like Doraemon’s pocket—you keep wondering, “Is there still more? How much can it hold?”

It also has zippered side pockets, so it’s handy to keep business cards or your wallet there for easy access. Sometimes I bring my DSLR camera along with my laptop for work, and it fits in there without any trouble.

By the way, I bought the design featuring the “911” logo, but I believe there was also a Taycan version (though it’s no longer listed on the online store).

Unlike the backpack introduced in ①, this one is more understated and doesn’t scream “Porsche backpack,” which I also like.

However, because it holds so much, I sometimes overpack and have been told by a CEO friend, “Did you bring a baby on your back?” or “Are you going mountain climbing now?”

So I thought, “This is great but maybe a bit too big…” and that’s when I found the perfect-sized backpack during the Taycan test drive.

③ Unique—No One Else Has One

Porsche backpacks are also great because you almost never see anyone else with one (laughs).

I’ve never met anyone at work carrying Porsche-related bags or backpacks (which makes sense, haha). I like having things that others don’t know about, don’t have, or won’t duplicate.

Plus, the designs are often cute and stylish, so if you want a unique, practical, and fashionable backpack that stands out from the crowd, a Porsche backpack is a great choice.

Honestly, it would be nice to coordinate my bag with my car’s body color for a more stylish look, but I’m a practical person at heart. For now, I’ll keep using this new backpack hard and keep working hard too.
