My husband recently had the chance to test drive a friend’s Porsche 911 Turbo S (992), and he wrote a report about it. Please take a look if you’re interested.
Porsche 911 Turbo S (992)
The Porsche 911’s flagship grade, the “Turbo,” has reigned at the top since the 930 generation, standing apart from the standard trims. The model we had the opportunity to test drive this time is the latest 911, the 992 Turbo S.
The “S” designation means it comes with nearly all the performance options included.
This particular car sports a stunning Python Green body. There are probably very few Turbo S models in Python Green in Japan, making this a truly rare example.
This color looks much cooler in person than it does on the web. It’s a vivid green that strongly conveys the sporty character of the car.
The interior features the Heritage Design Package, with seats upholstered in olive-tanned Atacama beige leather that harmonizes beautifully with the green exterior.
Thanks to the Heritage Package, the instrument cluster illumination is in traditional green, following Porsche’s special model tradition.
The seat centers and door panels are made of corduroy, and the dashboard trim features a silver 911 badge, giving the cabin a very exclusive feel.
Key exterior options include a carbon roof, carbon mirrors, and Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels. Under the hood, the engine compartment lid is painted in titanium gray, among many other options, making this car fully loaded.
