Reviews & Test Rides

My parents bought a Toyota C-HR

The other day.My parents are considering buying a new car.I wrote an article about this, but then my parentsI bought a Toyota C-HR compact SUV.And when I went back to my parents' house the other day, I was able to drive a little on public roads, so I would like to write down my impressions, even if they are very brief.

My parents' C-HR is a "C-HR Hybrid 1.8 G LED EditionThe G grade is a higher grade, with LED headlights, cooler wheel designs, and improved exterior design as well as equipment.

My father was aToyota car, hybrid car (fuel efficiency), want some displacement, car not much bigger than my current Prius. He was looking for a "C-HR," and the C-HR came up as a candidate, and he purchased it after making a good match at a used car dealership near his parents' home.

It looked much younger and cooler. The design of the wheels was especially stylish and eye-catching.

The seats had quilted backs and were two-tone black and coriaceous brown in color. Overall, they were soft, fluffy, thick, and had a luxurious feel.

Toyota C-HR, test drive

The C-HR is aEasy to drive and well equipped with safety featuresI thought it was a very safe car for my elderly parents to ride in.(He's going to give up his license in a few more years.)

The C-HR comes with Toyota's preventive safety package, theToyota Safety SenseToyota Safety Sense" is standard equipment on all models. Toyota Safety Sense" is a system that supports safe driving by using two types of sensors to assess the vehicle's surroundings, and then applying brake control and other measures as necessary.

It is well equipped with automatic high-beam function, radar cruise control function, and other functions that can be used not only in emergency situations but also in everyday driving.

I honestly thought it was a good car with good cost performance and practicality.

Toyota C-HR

On the way there, there was a traffic jam, so I tried the radar cruise control, which was easy to operate and followed the car in front of me smoothly and intelligently. This would make it easier when there is a traffic jam on the highway.I thought, "I've never used cruise control before," but since this is the first time my parents have driven a car with cruise control, they still don't know how to operate the lever, and they have never used it (sweat).

I hope you can practice and learn to use it.

Compared to the Prius my parents used to drive. The C-HR has a high line of sight and is easy to drive. In the same Toyota car, I had rented a Toyota Aqua as a loaner car a long time ago, but I remember it was a little scary because of its insecure suspension.

By comparison. The C-HR has a solid and stable suspension. There was no fear at all, even when going a little faster.

It was said to be 1800CC, but acceleration on public roads is sufficient. The Prius they used to drive didn't have much torque. My parents said they really liked the acceleration of the C-HR because their previous Prius did not have much torque, and the acceleration was weak, so no matter how hard they pressed the accelerator pedal on hills, the car would not move forward.

They also like the fact that the handle is light and easy to operate.

As for the rear seats, they seemed a bit narrower than our Note e-POWER. However, the seats were comfortable and the children were "happy" with them.Fluffy back!He was happy to say.

Each person's choice of car is different.

When my parents were looking to buy a new car, they askedFor about the same money, you might consider a Volkswagen Golf.I once said, "I'm sorry.

I thought the Golf would be comfortable on any road because the car is well built, drives well, and rides comfortably.

But my parents, who

'I've been driving a Toyota all my life, so I'm afraid to drive a foreign car with reversed blinkers now. Again, I will look for a Toyota."

He replied.

."Well, if it's the last car you're going to drive in your life, why not something other than a Toyota? As I said, after driving the C-HR this time, I realized that it was important for my elderly parents to drive a model that they are accustomed to operating on a regular basis.

In addition, the sales person in charge of the project was a very nice person who kindly listened to my parents and taught them everything from scratch, which was also an important point.

As I drove, I said, "Yes! It's easy to drive, and it's a great car! When he said, "I'm sorry," his mother

Since you usually drive a Porsche, I thought it would be nothing compared to that, but it's a great car. My mom really likes this car!

He said happily (laughs).

This time, the car is not only the performance and equipment of the car, but also the matters around the car.Whether they fulfill the points that the buyer wants to value.I was reminded that it is important to

My wife and I wereDriving, comfort, cost-effectiveness.Parents, though, focus on such things asEase of driving, store support system, fuel economy.I think that so many cars exist in the world because there are so many different people who care about such things as the following....

Choosing a car is a very deep process.

Whatever the case, it is a relief for my daughter to have her parents in a solid car, so I hope she will enjoy the ride and drive safely.

I always enjoy looking at your site.
My in-laws switched to a similar pattern. Prius to Yaris. My father-in-law was a car enthusiast and drove cars that were trendy at the time, such as sports cars and four-wheelers, so it was no surprise that his last car was a hybrid.
The final deciding factor seems to be ease of driving and peace of mind. Since the car has been selling so well, it must reflect these needs well. In fact, when I drove it, I thought it was quite a nice car.
That is why my car is used for Costco and other short trips. My parents' generation is the last one to own a car, which means that my car life has reached the end of the line. I would like to get a Porsche soon, but I think it will be a little while longer.
