What if I let my sister, a paper driver, drive a Porsche 911 for the first time in her life?

Sister who bought a mini

The other day, my husband's sister, whoAfter 20 years of being a paper driver, I bought my first car.I wrote an article about it. I purchased aBMW Mini Cooper D (3 door)The exterior color is British Racing Green with a stylish white roof.

My sister rides every day and takes special lessons from her husband on weekends, and thanks to her practice trips to Ashiu Driveway, she has become quite proficient at driving a car.

My sister was in Ashiyu Driveway the other day.The first time she drove her husband's 911 Cabriolet (992 model), she was so impressed that she was awakened to the joy of driving.I would like to share with you my impressions of what seemed to be the case.

Drove a Porsche 911 for the first time

First time, Porsche 911

I asked my sister when she got home what was so inspiring.

First.Insanely easy to drive.I was surprised to find out that it was a Porsche. I was a little nervous because it was a Porsche, but when we rounded the first curve out of the East Rokko Observatory in AshiuWhat the heck, it's totally different from the mini!I felt like I was in the right place at the right time. The Mini is a good car and easy to drive, but it was nothing compared to that. I was very surprised at how easy it was to drive, and it took turns just the way I wanted it to.
Then, "I can trust this car completely.I was able to drive very relaxed from the beginning to the end because I felt like I was in the right place at the right time.
My brother also told me that he wasI'm more relaxed than I was driving the Mini, and I'm driving better.I was even told "I'm not a good person. I was surprised myself.
In the case of the Mini, he hasn't opened up to me yet, and when someone who is a good driver drives it, he says, "You know what? The car is happy, totally different than when I drive it!I felt like, "I'm not going to be able to do this," but with 911, I felt like they were opening up to me right away.
Also, it's so much easier to operate the gas pedal and brake pedal. My brother used to tell me, "The gas pedal and brake should not be turned on and off, but rather stepped on and off more slowly.I was told that the 911 was a "911," and I thought it would be difficult to get that feeling, but with the 911 it was so easy to do, and I was able to really drive it the way I wanted to. It was really amazing!

He spoke with great excitement.

My sister had never been interested in cars before, had never heard of Porsche until the moment she got in the car, and had always been a paper driver.

Thinking back, my impression of the first time I drove a Porsche (Panamera) and my sister's impression this time were almost the same.I was also amazed by the handling of the Porsche and the sense of oneness between man and horse, including the gas pedal work, and from there I fell in love with driving a car.

I was reminded once again that Porsche is truly amazing to make anyone feel that way, no matter who is driving.

Sister driving a Porsche 911

The sister went on.

I'm so glad I had the valuable experience of driving a Porsche at this point in my life when I was just graduating from being a paper driver. "Driving a car is so much fun!Now that I have realized that I am a good driver, my car life is going to be different from now on.
Before, I couldn't understand why my brother would go touring so far away.Sure, this makes me want to go for a run with the car.I came to understand that "I want to go running," and in fact I want to go running, too.
After driving the 911, I got in the Mini, and I kind of felt like the Mini was a little more open-minded, and it was easier to drive.
something or otherI guess the more a beginner drives, the better it is to drive a Porsche as a first car...I thought. It's too expensive to buy it, though...

He said.

My husband heard his sister's thoughts on this one.

Kazuo Shimizu told me that the Porsche engineers he has met.Why can Porsche make such good cars? What makes Porsche different from other companies?Whenever I ask the question, "What is it that you do? They all say, "Porsche tests thoroughlyI heard it's called "the
The tests are also conducted in a variety of environments, and the handling, for example, should not be sharp and should not be sharp. The gain (response) should increase gradually, and the gain should not change drastically when the accelerator is turned on or off, etc."I think that's why Porsche is so comfortable to drive. I think that is why Porsche is so comfortable to drive, because there is no deviation from the human senses.
My sister, being a complete beginner, had no preconceived notions about what to do.I could feel it even more directly.I think that's why Porsche is not only fast, but also attractive. I think Porsche is not only about speed, but also about its charm.

He said.

By the way, my sister made it her goal to buy a Porsche in three years. She was really excited and seemed kind of switched on, so I think she might actually buy one in 3 years. I'll work on that too!

I had a similar experience, which is why I posted this.

I once had a person who had been a paper driver for about 10 years drive a 718 Boxster S as his first car.
I practiced on Rokko Island, where the roads are wide, and then I was able to quickly drive on the busy Osaka Midosuji Avenue and on the highway.

I felt confident enough to drive an AMG, a BMW sedan, and a Ferrari F8, which I could not drive at all...it was one step away from a trauma-level accident.

Personally, I think the best car to drive for the first time would be a current model Porsche 911, Boxster or Cayman. (Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taikan are too big)

I have the impression that if we go back to the 997 and 987 generation or earlier, it would be more habitual and difficult to drive.

The current 911 is also so easy to drive that it is known as an honor student or Dekisugi-kun, and surprisingly, the Urracan EVO is also quite easy to drive, or is this a trend of the times?

      >I once had a person who had been a paper driver for about 10 years drive a 718 Boxster S as his first car.
      So it was!

Sure, it seems a bit difficult to get a Ferrari or something...
Porsche is still fun to drive because you can drive it the way you want to, but it's also a lot of fun to drive.
      Riding in other cars reminds me that I am by no means a good driver ^^;

      >Personally, I think the best car to drive for the first time would be a current model Porsche 911, Boxster, or Cayman. (Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taikan are bigger)
It sure does! You don't have to worry so much about the width of the cars, etc., and it looks like a nice integrated look.
As the kata becomes more traditional, it still has an image of being for advanced users.

Oh, my sister was so impressed when she got to drive the Macan that she said, "The 911 is nice, but I want the Macan! and her next goal is a Macan! LOL!
Thank you very much for everything.

It has been a long time since I have commented.
It is amazing that Porsche's know-how is able to create a taste that is "easy to drive" and "fun to drive" for both beginners and driving enthusiasts.
I think the way you capture and define the "universal sensitivity of people involved in driving" is extremely appropriate. Furthermore, it is wonderful that the company has the development capability, including the setting capability, to accurately incorporate this into any product model.
In my case, Porsche is "a car that makes me want to choose to drive down the road". Of course it is fun at high speeds, but down the road there are more road surface and curvature changes, and you can feel various car behaviors, and with a Porsche you can enjoy that in almost every situation (however, it would be better to use a model for city driving).
When traveling 100km to 200km without a passenger, not for work, I choose to leave before dawn and "dare to travel down the road in a Porsche". Maybe I am just a weirdo (laughs).
If the roads are open, traveling that distance on a downhill road may not be that much longer than traveling on an expressway.

As you said, I was once again impressed by Porsche and became a Porsche fan even more.

      >For me, a Porsche is "a car you want to choose to drive down the road".
      Indeed...!
If the model is not too hard, it is really fun just to drive down the street or in normal driving.

There are many roads down the road that are more pleasant, and sometimes I think it is a waste to just drive on the highway.
But still, traveling 100-200km down the road is amazing... (LOL)!

Hello, I am the one who found your husband's Porsche that day and followed it to the observation deck.
I had never been to an event where car enthusiasts gather, and for a moment I wondered if I should follow them, but then I thought I would never see another Porsche of the same color and similar specifications if I missed this chance, so I went along.
I had a very pleasant experience as a result, and I felt at ease with my husband, who was very friendly and willing to talk a little longer.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your help. Please give my best regards.
We will be happy to see you again when we see you.
You do not have to publish the comment as it is not related to the article.

      Thank you!
My husband was very pleased with the service. Thank you so much for even letting me take pictures of our two beautiful cars!
In fact, I am planning to write another article on the matter that I was able to share with you this time on my blog.

Thank you for your continued support.
