A Drive Through the Countryside Around Sanda

Last weekend, we visited a park somewhere in Sanda. It was a lovely, peaceful spot with very few people around. The country roads in Sanda are beautiful, quiet, and a pleasure to drive. The scenery was just as lovely the other day.

Today, I want to share an app that impressed me with how useful it is: “AUTOMO CAMERA”, a camera app that automatically detects license plates and neatly covers them with just a few taps.

When you post photos of your car on a blog or social media, the license plate is often something you want to hide. Until now, I’d either painstakingly blur it with a mosaic app—

—or cover it with a thick outline.

But that doesn’t look great, and when the plate is at an angle, it can be tricky to cover it properly. I wasn’t sure what to do until my husband told me about AUTOMO CAMERA.

Here’s what the app can do:

・Automatically detects license plates in photos and covers them neatly
・Manual mode lets you fine-tune the position and select multiple vehicles
・Choose from a 38-color palette for the cover
・Easily share edited images on social media or save them to your device
・If automatic detection doesn’t work, manual mode makes it easy to cover the plate

In short, it does a great job of detecting and covering license plates—even when they’re at an angle. It can automatically find and cover a plate at an angle like the one in the photo below.

And a plate like this is an easy win.

Apparently, the app used to be free, but when I bought it recently, it cost around 150 yen. It’s absolutely worth the price—honestly, it feels worth many times that. Highly recommended!
