First Time on Clubhouse

Recently, we hosted our very first Clubhouse room as a couple and chatted for about 30 minutes. We thought, “Clubhouse looks fun, but watching from the sidelines won’t get us anywhere—let’s just try it tonight!” So, on a whim, we announced it, and despite the short notice, about 30 to 40 people tuned in.

We’re truly grateful.

Since it was our first time, we talked about:

・Introducing ourselves as a couple
・Why we started this blog
・Whether it’s really a personal blog and the background behind it
・What drew us to Porsche
・The 992 Turbo S my husband recently test drove

It was our first time speaking together to an audience. Because speaking from the same room on separate accounts caused our voices to overlap, we ended up talking from different rooms in the same house with the doors closed, which was pretty surreal and funny.

At first, we awkwardly used polite language and wondered, “What should we call each other in a situation like this…?” But I think that kind of vibe is part of what makes Clubhouse so interesting.

Unlike speaking in front of people, you can’t see listeners’ reactions, so it’s harder to adjust topics or how you steer the conversation on the fly. But it felt more like a casual radio chat, which was nice.

That said, we were relieved to hear comments like “We wanted to hear more!” and “Looking forward to the next time!” from those who listened.

We didn’t talk much about cars this time, but going forward, we want to dive deeper into automotive topics. It could be fun to broadcast while driving our GT3 or 911, and we’d also like to discuss popular blog themes like “life philosophy” and “success principles.” Collaborating with others would be exciting, too.
