When you want a Porsche, it's time to buy one|I can say this from my experience of buying a 911.

Porsche Carrera T
How to buy a Porsche

I'm glad I bought it, Carrera T.

My first Porsche, a 911 Carrera T, delivered at the end of May.

Four months have passed and the mileage is almost 4,500 km.

I use it for all sorts of things: grocery shopping, picking up the kids from school, taking the kids to the dentist or dermatologist, work, and I feel like it's become a bit more of a companion lately (although I'd like to give it a better road trip).

And now I think again.

."When you want a Porsche, it's time to buy one.And.

I want one, but I don't have the money. I wonder if I can maintain it properly.
I want one, but I'm not sure I'm ready for it yet."

Many thoughts and feelings swirl around me until I decide to buy, but in my case, I am very glad that I decided to "buy" at that time.

This is because it may happen that the model you want can no longer be purchased while you are thinking "in a few more years...".

The model I want is calledYou can buy it anytime, forever. It's never "just a little bit of fun.

Also, a sports car like a Porsche is not absolutely necessary for daily life (...I probably shouldn't put it this way, but in general, a minivan is much more convenient and useful), so a certain amount of momentum is needed when buying one.

The more I think about it, the more I think, "I still don't need it...In many cases, the time to buy is when you want it," he feels.

Porsche 911 Carrera T

Meet Carrera T.

However, until last summer, I too had been a "I can't see myself buying a Porsche just yet.I thought, "I'm not going to be able to do that.

."I would love to have a 911. But I also want to save up for a down payment, and I hope to be able to buy a late model 992 in about 3 years. One day, one of the Porsche owners, who has been a great help to me, said to me, "I've always wanted to buy a Porsche, but I've never had the chance to do so.

Even if you want it three years from now, you may not be able to buy it then. Even now, many people are lining up with reservations to buy an early 992 model. On top of that, we don't know when the later model will come out, nor is it expected (at the time).
Don't be too long-winded about buying it someday. If you really want it, you can start now by saying, "I'm going to buy it.I need a late 992.Shouldn't the dealer at least indicate his/her intention to "do something"?

When I heard this, I was greatly moved and said to myself, "That's so true! I was so moved by this (I'm so naive!) that the next day, I wrotePlease let me know as soon as the later model is available so I can purchase it.and contacted Mr. H, the dealer representative.

At that time, of course, I had not saved up enough money for a down payment, and I knew that buying a Porsche was absolutely impossible in my current financial situation, but I took the plunge anyway and expressed my intention.

Then, a few months later, from the dealer,

."I still don't know when the late 992 model will be available, but once the reservations for the early 992 Carrera T are open, I guess I'll just put in a reservation? Although, I don't know if I will be able to buy one or if I will be allocated a slot...He contacted me and said, "I'm sorry.

I immediately consulted my husband,

You have to respond to these things as soon as possible. If you are slow, you may not be able to make a reservation. You should think about it and reply as soon as possible.

And.

However, when I looked at the configurator for the Carrera T at the time, there were almost no wheel or option choices, and I could not choose PCCB, which I would have been able to choose for the 991 Carrera T,

."…これって本当に買うべきなのか…わざわざ992後期ではなくこのタイミングで前期を買うというものなぁ…I was extraordinarily worried, but my husband was again,

It's not like you're going to drive it for the rest of your life, right? If you feel that it is not what you expected, you can sell it after a few years of driving. Since there are only a small number of Carrera T's, the price will not drop that much.

And.

."Yes, you're lucky if you like it, but if you don't, you can always switch back based on the lessons learned, and if you don't take the plunge and buy it, nothing will get done! So, I made a reservation and was lucky enough to get a production slot.

However, I'm a pretty petty person, so even with the final procedures before delivery, I'm still a little nervous about the " I wonder if I bought the right one... if I can afford the loan... He was so upset that Mr. H, who was in charge of the project, said to him, "Um...maybe it would have been better if I had not sold it to you? He even said, "Well...maybe I shouldn't have sold it to you?

But on the day of delivery, when I saw my own Carrera T in person, my fears were instantly dispelled.

What's so cool? It's so cool!

Also, the feeling of riding the car was not so good at first, but as I rode it for 300 or 500 kilometers, the engine gradually became more responsive, the engine sound became louder, and I became more familiar with my hand....

Now, without a cloud of a doubt, I am really glad I bought it.This magic is what makes Porsche so amazing (laughs).

In fact, the monthly payment is quite a challenge.More details are in this article.), I'm surprisingly getting by, I'm more aware of earning money than before, I'm more enthusiastic about my work (which is why I'm itching to blog at all these days...), and I'm on the verge of actually increasing my income.

The time to buy a Porsche is when you want one.

It is my poor experience, but that is how I feel these days.

I always enjoy reading your blog.
My Carrera T was finally delivered yesterday!

I applied last October and it's been about a year!
The long-awaited delivery of the car!
No, no, no, I didn't know a MT Carrera could feel so good.
    I am impressed.
It was my first MT in 10 years since my 987 Boxster S,
    The body remembers!
I would like to break in the car thoroughly from now on and enjoy the changes as the distance goes by, as Mina-san said.

Thank you for your continued support.

      Mr. Rae.

      Oh congratulations!!!
      Congratulations indeed!
MT Carrera, it feels even better than I thought it would!

The Carrera T is agile and runs crisply, so it feels even better.
I look forward to seeing the changes in the future!
I would be happy to share more things with you!
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

    Hello. - Hello.
I think you are absolutely right Mina, because my father's Porsche Cayenne GTS also fell in love at first sight with a Cayenne Coupe GTS at a certain dealer, and he bought a Cayenne GTS at a different store!
Also, our GTS is two-tone red and black genuine leather, and I was wondering what you are doing to prevent stains, etc. on your cabriolet's mojave beige. I would be very grateful if you could tell me!

      E3GTS.
Oh, such an encounter led to your purchase!
I thought again that the time to buy would be when I get scared.

I asked my husband about measures to prevent stains on the sheets,
I take care of my sheets about once a year. But that's about all I do.
(You can read more about how to do this in this article.)
      https://www.panamera-life.com/entry/leather-maintenance/

I try to keep in mind not to ride in jeans, but I usually forget and ride in them.
But if you take care of it regularly, I don't think it's impossible to get rid of the dirt.

He said, "I am very happy to be here.

I have enjoyed reading your blog for the past two and a half years,
I have finally received my production quota and ordered Targa 4S!
The car will be delivered around February next year.

I wanted a mission, so no Targa 4,
I had decided on Heritage Design Cognac for the interior, so I said no to GTS.
That's why we are now in 4s.
(I live in the US so transmission options are available for 4S and GTS).

I actually just bought another car earlier this year.
I got a call out of the blue from the dealer saying, "Production quotas are here!
I said, "I'll buy it" without preparing myself.
The title of this article saved me lol.

I am excited about it now.
I look forward to your blog updates again!

By the way, I used to live near the "Hinode-bashi bus stop", so maybe we were neighbors!

      Congratulations !!!!
I can easily imagine it being insanely cool...amazing!
I envy you that there are many MT cars set up in the U.S.

It must have been a sign from God telling me to buy it (laughs)!

      >By the way, I used to live near the "Hinode-bashi bus stop" so maybe we were neighbors!
Oh you lived in a very nice place!
And it's in the neighborhood - I pass by it every day (laughs).

Nice to meet you. I am a newcomer to your blog.

I am looking for a used 911.2, but there are no good units nearby. Is it possible to buy a distant unit without checking the actual car?
Also, I was prioritizing certified pre-owned vehicles, but I am having difficulty finding a good one, so I am also considering those from regular used car dealers. Is there anything I should be careful about if it is not a certified pre-owned car?

I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

    • HiroHiro

      Hello, silver.

Yes, if it is not certified pre-owned, some vendors still hide the fact that it is in poor condition,
We often hear stories of poor response.

If a Porsche breaks something, it is common for the repair cost to be in the 500,000-yen range,
I would recommend buying certified pre-owned, if possible, and after that, I would recommend an extended warranty that can be put in for up to 15 years.

If you must buy from a used car dealer, at a minimum, make sure the car has a dealer record book and is fully stock (even with certified tires and stock wheels).
If the car is inspected and passed by the dealer after 3 months after purchase, it may be placed under stand-alone warranty, which would then make it equivalent to a so-called "certified pre-owned" car.
Our 991 Carrera 4GTS is the pattern.
      For your reference.
