Two Brothers Who Love Cars

It’s not just my husband—his younger brother is a car enthusiast, too. You don’t come across many families where both brothers are into cars. That said, car lovers come in different flavors: my husband is more of a full-on car nerd, while his brother leans toward the stylish, high-performance end of the spectrum. He seems to have a soft spot for Italian marques like Lamborghini and Maserati, as well as powerful cars.

Is He Really Going to Buy a Panamera Sport Turismo?!

The other day, my brother-in-law called my husband. From what I could make out, he was asking something along the lines of, “What do you think of the Panamera?” My husband replied:

“It’s seriously good. The 4S could be a great choice. I think the 4S sounds better than the Turbo.”

After the call, I asked, “Is [name] buying a Panamera?” My husband said:

“Apparently he’s at a Porsche dealership right now, and they’re recommending the Panamera Sport Turismo.”

I couldn’t help thinking how great it would be if he bought one—I’d finally have the chance to write a comparison of the Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo. But it’s his decision, of course, so there’s no telling what he’ll do.

A New Tagline for the Panamera

On another note, I recently came across a new Panamera tagline. It went like this:

Four wings. You want to keep driving sports cars. Now you can see what you need to take the next step in life. A Porsche that gives wings to the way you live. The Panamera.

Was I the only one who felt so moved by this tagline that I nearly cried? Probably just me (lol).

It really struck me how well the Panamera’s marketing team understands what makes the car special—and the kind of person who wants one, and what they value in life. I’d never thought of myself as someone who wanted to “keep driving sports cars,” but I’m right on the verge of a new chapter in my working life. Somehow, those words hit home and went straight to my heart.

Time to give it my all.
