Porsche 911 in Aventurine Green Metallic

Our home’s 911 Cabriolet (992 model) sports the Aventurine Green Metallic body color. This is a new color introduced with the 992 generation, a beautifully unique shade that’s somewhere between a deep brown and green.

Previously, a blog reader (who seems to be a neighbor) left a comment:

I drive a 992 coupe in Aventurine Green, so I hope we can meet up someday.

Since then, we’ve occasionally spotted each other around town.

Then just the other day, when my husband was driving our 992 Cabriolet on the Royu Driveway, a 992 in Aventurine Green appeared behind him. “Oh! Could that be the same person…?” he thought. To his surprise, they ended up together all the way to the Higashi Rokko Observatory on the Royu Driveway, and finally, we were able to park the two cars side by side and take photos.

After returning home, my husband happily said,

Having two Aventurine Green 911s, a coupe and a cabriolet, together like that is pretty rare — it felt like a miracle. When we lined them up for photos, they truly looked like “siblings” and were stunningly beautiful. The owner and I ended up at the observatory together, but I wonder if they didn’t actually have business on the Royu and just followed me there after spotting my car. Either way, they were really gorgeous!

A Bond Through the Same Porsche Body Color

The owner we met had a sunroof, and my husband said, “The blacked-out sunroof section added a nice accent, making the car look lower and very cool.”

Still, it’s quite rare for two Porsches of the same model and such a unique color to appear side by side by chance, so we’re truly glad we could take these photos. Normally, I avoid tailgating, but in moments like this, I’m happy to be a “tailgater” (laughs).

Speaking of which, my husband previously owned a GT3 Touring in Crayon, and by chance, we were also able to take photos with another GT3 Touring in the same Crayon color.

At that time, my husband was still “debating whether to add side decals,” but seeing the stylish decals on the other owner’s GT3 helped him decide to go for it.

Choosing the same body color and model might mean we share similar tastes or some kind of connection. I’m grateful for these chance encounters and hope to continue enjoying our car life together.
