• The entry-level Carrera produces 394 hp and starts at ¥16.94 million.
• The GTS pairs a 3.6-liter engine with an electric turbocharger to produce 541 hp. It also features the T-Hybrid system, with an electric motor integrated into the PDK transmission.
• The cabin has gone fully digital, and the engine is now started with a button.

2. Impressions of the Porsche Track Experience Driving School [33:29]

• We joined the Master course at the Porsche Track Experience, Porsche’s official driving school.
• The course offers plenty to learn. Although the tuition has increased, participants get more time behind the wheel, making it a rewarding experience.
• Drivers can learn professional techniques for cornering, braking, and more.
• We took part in a Porsche 718 Cayman and experienced firsthand how easy it is to drive—and how much fun it is on track.

3. A Tesla Touring Adventure [53:08]

• We took a Tesla Model 3 touring along scenic farm roads in Okayama.
• We stopped for a meal and a recharge at a Tesla Supercharger, the company’s dedicated rapid-charging network.
• With the roads virtually empty, the Tesla’s powerful acceleration made for an exhilarating drive—almost enough G-force to make us feel queasy.
• Compared with the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the Tesla seemed to pull harder from the midrange.

4. The Joy of Touring in an Electric Vehicle (EV) [1:03:36]

• Touring in an EV offers a completely different kind of enjoyment from driving a combustion-engine car.
• The force of the acceleration feels almost like being in a fighter jet—and the constant G-forces can leave you feeling dizzy.
• EVs also offer unique ways to spend time on the road, such as watching YouTube with the air conditioning running during a rest stop or an overnight stay in the car.
• Touring by motorcycle, Porsche, or EV each has its own appeal, opening up new ways to enjoy different kinds of vehicles.

5. Looking Ahead to the Porsche 718 EV [1:07:01]

• Rather than the updated 911, it’s the electric 718 that has captured our imagination.
• Once you experience the fun of EVs, it’s hard not to get excited about the arrival of the 718 EV.
• Instead of a halfway-house hybrid, we’d rather see it go fully electric.
