Cost of repairing scratches on a Porsche Cayenne and photos of the repaired Porsche Cayenne.

Porsche Maintenance Costs

I scraped my Porsche Cayenne.

The other day.I scraped the cayenne.I wrote an article about it, which was quoted by a sheet metal shop that day and returned later that day for repair.

The sheet metal store where I had my Cayenne repaired was a store that had taken care of me many times before, when I had just graduated from being a paper driver and was driving an Audi A3 (really many times...).

Audi A3

The price was reasonable and the technology was good, so we decided to go with them again.

I'll bring it to you for an estimate and you'll say, "It'd be better if it's fixed before the holidays. I'll hurry up.He told us that he would be happy to lend us a loaner car.

Then, "I wonder if it will take 3-4 days to fix it.I thought it would be a "no problem," but in fact, he fixed it in two days.

I really appreciate it....

And as for how the scratches were repaired, below is a photo before the repair.

And this is after the repair.

Porsche Cayenne Repair

Great...I have no idea. The store owner said, "The level of detail that a professional sheet metal shop can see.I heard that it is a "new" car, but as far as an amateur like me can see, I can't tell at all. It is really amazing that they finished up so well even though they did not replace the resin part.

And as for the cost of the repair, which is a concern.35,000 yen + consumption taxIt was a "wow" moment. On top of that, they even washed the body and interior of the car. What a conscientious store....

For a moment, I thought, "I would ask for this place again if I need anything else.I thought to myself, "I'm not going to ask for this," but I firmly vowed again that no, no, no, I must ride carefully to avoid asking for this place.

Repair costs vary depending on body color.

Incidentally, a few days after I rubbed my Cayenne, my husband's sister, who drives a MINI Cooper, also rubbed her car a little, even though it was her first month with her new car. However, it was only a very small scratch, and the paint peeled off a little in one spot, but my sister also took her Cayenne to the store that fixed it.

Then, if you look at the ...

The wound itself is small.British Racing GreenThe body color of the car is a very special color, so it is difficult to fix in terms of color matching. We would be very grateful if we could do it, but it would be a waste to pay this amount for such a small scratch (since it had a beginner's mark on it), and although it may be rude on the contrary, we are glad that it was only this small. I'm sure they will be even more careful, and it's not like a month's worth of scratches from someone who is used to driving, so I think it's best to wait and see how it goes.

He was told. (What a kind store...!)

Her husband, on this matter.

The Cayenne's body color was solid white, so the scratches were extensive, but I'm sure they could have been fixed for that price. As for the 970 Panamera with the Carrara White body color that was previously in my home, when I brought it in for an estimate to have the scratches repaired, I was told that I could get it repaired for that price, even though it was a solid white car.You were turned down by several dealers and ended up fixing it at the dealership.
And the reason he turned me down that time. The metallic white body color is so special that I can't match it well.I did this.
So I have heard that if the color of the scratches on the car was crayon, it would be very difficult to match the color, so the repair cost would be very high, and it would be difficult to fix it at a normal store. If it was such a special body color, it would have been better to ask the dealer to repair it, so I think the cost would have been very expensive.
Even with the same solid body color, scratches and scuffs will stand out if the car is black... In that sense, it may be good to have a normal white body color for a car that is used on a daily basis.

He said.

Indeed... A beautiful body color looks good on a sports car, and while I would like to choose such a color, when I think about the cost of repairs in case of rubbing or scratches.... If I were to buy a Porsche in the future, of course, there is a part of me that thinks about choosing a body color considering rubbing, but I think it would be better to keep it safe and white...these days.

Hello, I am a new member of the forum and I would like to share my experience with you. This was a very informative article. I wonder if our 992 Carrera in aventurine green metallic that we just took delivery of would need a dealer to fix it if it should scrape? I wondered if the dealer would be able to fix it if it got scratched. But I'm still glad I chose this color. So far it's completely unscratched (of course?). I am very happy with the color.

      Mr. Tak Kite
      Thank you!
Aventurine Green is also a crazy deep and wonderful color...
If something should happen, it would be more reliable to fix it at the dealer...

      >This is completely intact so far (of course?).
      It's wonderful!

I always enjoy seeing your work. Glad to hear Cayenne's wounds are healing up okay!

I was surprised at the workmanship, but I was even more surprised at the low price.
If you don't mind me asking, I'd love to know which one!

If only Japan had wide roads and parking lots like the U.S. and New Zealand...
In contrast to the increasing size of cars, the road and parking situation in Japan seems to have stopped 30 years ago.

      Yoshikichi.
      Thank you!
Yes, it's true, many roads and parking lots in Japan are really narrow...
Is it inevitable because the land is small and there is little flat land?

I will let you know about the store by e-mail ^^^.

Hello. I always enjoy reading your blog.
    Very informative article!
After all, metallic colors and special colors
Some stores will not be able to handle it....

Also, I'm amazed you could repair it so nicely for this price!
If you don't mind, would it be possible for you to tell us about your restaurant?

    • Mina.Mina.

      Ryoma.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
I also learned for the first time that some stores cannot handle some body colors.

      > If you don't mind, can you tell me the store?
I'll be in touch via email shortly!

Always a pleasure to read and for all kinds of references!

I became a Porsche owner first when I got my license at a good age.

I have not been able to get it fixed again anyway.
By the way, I got a very good price quote from the dealer. We are looking for somewhere better.

Excuse me for commenting on an earlier post, but if you don't mind, would it be possible to visit your store?

    • Mina.Mina.

      Mr. Mac.
      Thank you!
It's a real shock to see a scratch on your car...

The company I worked with was called Shinoda Jitsugyo.

The location is a bit inconvenient...
I wish it were closer to your home...

      Thank you very much.
