Besides the Porsche Blog, I’m Also on Twitter

Porsche Blog and Twitter

This Porsche blog’s homepage now displays a timeline, but I’m also active on Twitter besides the blog. About 10 years ago, I used Twitter for work for a while, but I didn’t really know how to use it and ended up not posting anything, so quite some time passed.

Later, after starting this Porsche blog, I registered on Twitter again last April. At first, I wasn’t quite sure how to use it, so I just followed people I found interesting and posted new blog articles… but after about six months, my followers gradually started to increase, and more people began retweeting my posts.

Also, interacting with followers and receiving valuable information from Porsche and car enthusiasts all over Japan made me feel:

“It’s amazing and fascinating that through Twitter, I can connect with people I would never have met in real life.”

I think “hobbies + Twitter” is quite a good match. Some people tweet under their real names, but most are anonymous. Because of anonymity, you sometimes come across misinformation or sensitive content by accident, but on the flip side, there’s a lot of genuinely insightful content that only anonymity can bring out.

It’s fascinating to catch glimpses of raw human stories.

Also, Twitter’s “140 characters” limit is great. It’s easy to tweet casually, and it’s fun to think about how to fit what you want to say into just 140 characters.

By the way, my Twitter account is @Mina_Panamera, so I’d be happy if you follow or message me anytime.

Twitter × Cars × Women

I’m not particularly skilled at using Twitter, and my followers are still few, but once I received a comment on the blog:

“I see you’re on Twitter too. Looking at it now, there are even more car-related posts on Twitter than on your blog, and I really enjoyed them.”

So I decided to organize what kind of things I post on Twitter.

Little Tidbits

On Twitter, I post a lot of things I don’t put on this Porsche blog. This isn’t a strategic “separation of blog and Twitter content” at all, but rather because these are too small or trivial to post on the blog (lol).

For example, I often tweet things like “Heading to Royu Driveway,” “My husband went out touring,” or “Spotted this Porsche in town.”

Real-Time Updates

When the GT3 or 320i was delivered, I tweeted about it in real time. With a blog, you have to “write the article, review it, and publish it,” so there’s inevitably about a week’s delay.

Twitter lets me tweet in real time, so the posts are more timely. Lately, it feels like “my Twitter tweets have become previews for blog articles,” like “Got the GT3 Touring delivered and took it for its first drive—will report on the blog soon!” kind of posts (laughs).

About My Husband and Me

These are things not really worth writing on the blog, but I also tweet about conversations with my husband or little stories I suddenly remember from when we got married. Since I’m a woman, I think it’s fun to share some female perspectives beyond just car topics.

Twitter Posts

Here, I’d like to share a few examples of what I tweet about. Recently, it’s been things like the GT3 Touring’s delivery day and first drive, or topics related to buying a BMW.

…These are just some of the little tidbits I tweet daily (lol).

Porsche, Blog, and Twitter

I’m not really good with big gatherings or “wow!” moments… I prefer meeting one-on-one or in small groups to have deep conversations. Online, I’m broadcasting to an unspecified large audience, but the comments and interactions are one-on-one, so it feels close to real individual exchanges, which might suit me well.

From now on, I hope to continue enjoying myself while sharing information through this Porsche blog and Twitter.
