We interviewed KUGATTI, a college student car photographer who has been taking pictures of cars for seven years!

My Family's Car Life

About the London Photography Trip

Did you really go to London for the shoot?

Yes, I just wanted to take pictures of cars, and I went there just for that. Why did I go to London? The contrast between the London cityscape and the supercar is so beautiful.I thought, "I'd like to go there and see it with my own eyes.

When I was there, all I did was take pictures of cars all day long. I wasn't interested in sightseeing, so when I had free time, I would take pictures of the "I should at least see the famous Buckingham Palace.I thought, "I'm not sure what I'm doing here," and I even glanced at it (laughs).

I went to London in the summer, and London in the summer is a summer resort for rich people from Dubai, so there were a lot of cars of Dubai millionaires driving around.

Did you see any amazing cars running around that you can't see in Japan?

The level of cars was too high. There were many cars that you might see in Tokyo, but in Kobe, you would never see them.

Bugatti, 918 Spyder, Six by Six on the Gerende...There were other amazing museum-grade cars that were usually parked on the street. There were also a lot of Rolls Royces and Bentleys. I was very impressed with the "Bentley."That's the UK for you.It was like, "I'm sorry.

Also, the customization was tremendous, and some of the cars were so shiny and sparkly that it was like, "Oh, my God!These people must have unlimited money...It was so amazing that I thought, "What the heck is this?

Also, overseas, license plates look cool because they are integrated into the car. I wish Japan had license plates like that.

3) Car photographer's dream for the future

About Private

Out of the blue, what is your favorite type of woman?

Eh, it's really out of the blue! Well... it doesn't come right out if you ask me suddenly. If I were to get married, I don't want my hobbies dictated to me.Yes.

The rest.share the same valuesIt's a common thing, but I think I would value that kind of thing.

Are you a college senior now, or will you be job hunting?

Job hunting...I'm actually in the middle of it right now, and my parents have been telling me thatGet a job. They say, "We are not ready to make a decision about our future.

...but, as one would expect at this time of the year, it would be bad if I didn't make a decision soon (laughs).

Is it better to graduate from college and continue doing what I am doing now as a hobby, or to get a job and shoot cars a little bit now and then between jobs and on weekends...

I want to drive a supercar or sports car of my dreams in the future. So, when I think about it, I think that in reality, you can't get there just by photographing cars...although you might be able to get there if you are very good at it....

So if that's the case, I wonder if it would be a good idea to get a job where I can earn money first...

However, many of the people I photograph cars with are entrepreneurs themselves, and I have a desire to be independent, so I've heard a lot of people say, "I'd like to be able to do this on my own.If you want to start a business, do it quickly. They say, "You're pretty shaky.

Do you prefer to work within the framework of an organization or in an environment where you can make your own decisions and work on your own?

Well...I don't really like to be used by others (laughs)...I think I'm probably better suited to doing things on my own.

But lately, however, "It's going to be tough to make a living just taking pictures, so I'd love to do some videos.I'm thinking, "I'm going to do it.

I mentioned earlier about a person I met 3 years ago at Ashiu Driveway, who recently got some equipment and is shooting a video of his car, so I'm thinking about actually learning about video there...or something like that.

What is the attraction of Ashiyu Driveway?

In Ashiu, people of all kinds of car enthusiasts gather andThere are some. From new sports cars, to rare supercars, to old Porsches... when I talk to these owners, they are so excited to see what I have to offer. You'll hear things you would never normally hear.is interesting.

Also, everyone who comes to Ashiu is friendly and nice. I don't know if they are joking or serious, but I've seen some tremendous high-end cars with "I'm not sure if I'm joking or not.Do you want to drive? He would say things like, "I'm not a good person," or something light like that (laughs).

Many people don't know what I do for a living, but through our love of cars, we can talk about many things and become friends. That kind of space is hard to find, isn't it?Especially if you are in Kansai, there is only AshiuI think so.

What car would you like to buy yourself in the future?

Ferrari F12 BerlinettaI'm not sure if this is a good idea.... I love the sound and the look of it. I've heard from people who actually own them that they areCan be used quite well for daily use.I hear "I like it," so I thought it would be nice. I like blue, so a blue F12 would be great.

But I'm looking at so many different cool cars, I can't decide... Lamborghini is cool... 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is really cool... I'm torn (laughs)

Show us one of your favorite pieces of work so far?

Yes, I do. It's totally fine to show you photos, but there are so many favorites that I can't narrow it down to just one. If I had to pick one, it would be this one.

What are your dreams and goals for the future?

Ashiu and where the sports and supercars congregate. So that I can buy my own supercar and put it on the line.I want to be a

"The guy who used to take a lot of pictures in Ashiyu has now come to Ashiyu in a super car he bought himself! (laughs).

I am sure that everyone who is currently taking care of us will be pleased.

Also, there are many places in Japan where you can take cool photos of Kyoto, nature, and cars, but these places often have narrow roads or are far away, so it is difficult to actually realize a photo shoot there.

But if it's my car, I can go anywhere without worrying about that. After all, in the future, I'll have to buy my own car. That's right! I think if we start getting photo requests every day, we'll get there, so keep up the good work!

[Editor's Postscript
It was so unusual and catchy to hear the phrase "college student of car photographer," that I assumed he had been featured in newspapers and on TV and had come to his current environment in one fell swoop.
But when I actually spoke with him, I learned that it was the result of his truly genuine love of cars, and his steady efforts and courage to take action.
It goes without saying that his photos of cars are beautiful, but his personality is also wonderfully polite and fun to talk with, which I felt is one of the reasons why he attracts so many car owners. Thank you, Mr. Rikui!
