Photos of Porsche
I often hear people say, “The photos in your blog posts are really beautiful.” I’ve always thought, “If I’m going to post them, I want to share beautiful, high-quality photos,” so I try to be mindful when taking pictures. But I only use my iPhone for shooting, and I don’t spend much time carefully composing the shots.
On the other hand, my husband’s passion for photography is truly on another level lol.
When I set a photo with a slightly cluttered background as the top image of a post, he’ll say,
This photo just won’t do—change it. In a blog, “photos are everything.” Whether the photos are beautiful or not completely changes the site’s image and whether readers feel like reading more!
At times like that, I mutter, “Readers probably don’t notice such small details anyway (-_-),” but I still end up swapping the top image for a nicer photo lol.
My husband has always been particular about car photography. For example, the photo below was taken by him during a touring trip…
When I said, “Nice! So cool!,” he replied,
Right? I parked the Boxster right in the middle of a farm road, and when a kei truck came from behind, I moved the Boxster to let it pass. Then, once the truck was gone, I parked the Boxster back in the middle of the road… I stuck with it for about an hour to get this shot.
What?! You really have that much free time (゚д゚) lol!?
By the way, he says he’s gotten pretty good at capturing our beloved cars—Boxster, air-cooled 911 (964), Panamera, and the recently delivered BMW 320i—in flattering ways. But the GT3 Touring in Crayon color is really tough, and he hasn’t yet taken a shot he’s fully satisfied with.
Feedback on the Blog’s Car Photos
Just the other day, we received wonderful news: the blog “Welcome Home, PORSCHE” was featured as a recommended site in the “Ranking: Site Watching” section of Ryousuke Akizuki’s Tansan Tower.
When I checked the page, I was amazed at how well they understood this blog—more than I do myself—and I was deeply moved. (I was so happy I re-read it about 30 times with a big grin lol)
Thank you so much, Akizuki-san. In that article, they also wrote:
The site’s design and each photo have a real sense of quality.
So it really is about the photos… When I said, “So many people tell me the photos are beautiful, it makes me so happy,” my husband said,
Then why don’t we create a photo gallery page? The photos in the articles are compressed a lot, so the quality is a bit rough. The original images are much higher quality and more beautiful, but those would be too heavy to load. I’ll prepare some nicely high-quality photos for readers to freely enjoy. Doesn’t that sound good?
And I thought, that makes sense.
Also, whenever he goes touring, he takes hundreds of photos at once, but obviously, we can’t post them all on the blog, so 99% end up unpublished. It might be fun to share those unseen photos too… So he quickly made a photo gallery page.
Porsche Photo Gallery
You can find the photo gallery page by clicking “Photo Gallery” in the site menu. On a PC, click the red arrow shown below.
On smartphones or tablets, tap the “≡” icon at the top right to open the menu, then tap “Photo Gallery” to view it.
Currently, the gallery randomly displays photos of our current and past beloved cars: 971 Panamera Turbo, 981 Boxster GTS, SL500 (R129), 911 (964 C2), GT3 Touring (991.2), 970 Panamera Edition, and more.
Clicking on each photo enlarges it, and you can also right-click to download.
Feel free to download these photos, but please note that under the “Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License,” commercial use and modifications are prohibited.
We plan to keep adding photos to this photo gallery regularly. Please look forward to it!
