I Might Launch an English Version of My Panamera Blog…

A Surprise Mac Update Error
Every Monday, my parents come over to watch the kids, so I pack the day with work and appointments that require me to go out. I can get things done without the kids interrupting me, and when I get home, there’s a delicious meal waiting…
Monday is pretty much heaven. But this morning, a Mac update error left me unable to get any work done, and half the day just slipped away.
What a waste… ((((;゚Д゚))))
I had to leave my computer on the whole time, but couldn’t actually use it. So I spent about three hours at a café playing games on my phone and staring into space. At last, my computer is back up and running. (Thank goodness I managed to fix it myself.) My day’s already gone completely off track, so here I am writing a blog post. (Shouldn’t I be working?)
Maybe It’s Time to Brush Up on My English
Now, back to the point. Around this time every year, my husband goes on a business trip to the U.S. for about ten days. The other day, he asked me, “Why don’t you bring the girls along next year?” By this time next year, our older daughter will be nearly five and our younger one almost two. Maybe they could make it through a flight of more than ten hours.
Actually, I started studying English again about two months ago. I can’t exactly make it to English conversation classes, so my approach has been to watch Frozen on DVD over and over, in English with English subtitles. I’ve probably seen it a hundred times by now, so I’m starting to remember quite a few expressions and phrases—including romantic lines that make me think, “When on earth am I ever going to use that?” (LOL)
I’ve picked up a lot of phrases this way, and I’d been thinking it would be fun to actually use them in everyday life. So joining my husband on his business trip next year could be a great opportunity—or, to put it plainly, I really, really want to go!! I’ve also been thinking that I’d like to change a few things about how I work and earn money by next year.
So, to improve my English, I’ve been wondering if I should try writing this blog in English… Or maybe not… (Make up your mind!) More precisely, I’d keep writing this blog as usual while translating the old posts one by one and setting up a separate English-language blog on Hatena Bookmark. I’ve been writing about the Panamera for about five months now, and this blog has started to rank pretty well for Panamera-related search terms.
If it’s made it this far in just five months, then… if I write in English, Panamera fans around the world might find my blog…!!! ( ゚∀゚)・∵. That’s the very optimistic interpretation I’m going with, and I’m getting excited about it.
But if my English grammar is wrong, people might take one look and think, “What kind of garbage blog is this?” And translating each post will probably take an absurd amount of time. Is it really worth it? Well, I won’t know unless I try—and if it turns out to be too much work, I can figure that out then. So lately, I’ve been thinking that I might launch an English version of my Panamera blog before long.
