911 Cabriolet, finally!

in a flashThe day of delivery of the 911 Cabriolet (992 model) is finally approaching. In early August, my husband went for the final delivery procedures, so all that is left is for the boat with the 911 Cabriolet to arrive at the port and for the car to be safely delivered once the inspection and other things at the dealership are completed.

So, here is a little summary of the sense of schedule from order to delivery.

I would have started considering a 911 Cabriolet at the beginning of the year, so my sense is that "I ordered it at the end of January.I thought that I had been wrong, but when I looked back at the correspondence with Mr. H, who was in charge of our house, and at my husband's e-mails, I found that I was totally wrong. My memory is really unreliable, isn't it?

End of February: 911 Cabriolet ordered.
Mid-March: The Porsche factory is closed due to the Corona (there is no immediate prospect of reopening the factory, and no delivery date is known).
End of March: Finalize final specifications and contact dealers.
End of June: A dealer informs the company that "production has started at the factory in Japan.
End of July: Dealer informs us that "production is complete and on board.
Early August: Final delivery procedures
Around September 10: Expected to arrive at dealers
Mid-September: Scheduled for delivery

It's like that.

Because of what happened to Corona, "Maybe it won't come before the end of the year...There was a time when I thought that I would be able to get a Cabriolet, but the Porsche factory reopened earlier than expected and the dealers happened to have a production slot for the Cabriolet available at the right time, so the car will be delivered quite soon.

911 Cabriolet specifications, etc.

Incidentally, the final version of the 911 Cabriolet (as of March 2020) is

And the other day, my husband handed the Panamera over to the dealer, so we said goodbye to the Panamera altogether.

Really, no matter what angle you look at it now, the Panamera is a cool car.

The 911 Cabriolet will be delivered in mid-September, and I am hoping that I will be able to go with them to the dealer to witness the delivery, but I am not sure what will happen.

I would love to go for an open drive with my family when the heat is better and the mornings and evenings are cooler.

    Hi Mina.

What a great time to deliver the car, about the same time of year.

I should have arrived in Japan around the end of the summer vacation, but I still

The car is scheduled to arrive at the dealer around 9/10-15, so delivery will probably be in the second half of the year.

    Was GT3 like that?

Hi there, I'm looking for a new place to live. Oh yes!

Sorry, I don't remember exactly what happened in GT3.
Surely, by now, the ship should already be attached.
I think there was a case that it did not come to the dealer easily. (Is it something to do with customs, etc.?)

I'm not quite sure what the sense of schedule is in that area...
