911 Turbo Cabriolet

The other day, I received this comment from a blog reader.

Having previously driven a Macan Turbo, they fell in love with the charm of the 911 after test-driving the 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet (992 model), and ended up purchasing the 911 Turbo Cabriolet (992 model).
They were amazed by the significant differences between the Carrera 4S Cabriolet they test-drove and the Turbo Cabriolet, so I’d like to share a bit about that. Some of you may already know this, but hopefully it’s helpful to someone…

That was the message. Thank you so much! By the way, this Turbo Cabriolet is reportedly one of the very first units to arrive in Japan. Amazing…!

So, I’d like to share the comment below.

About the 992 Turbo Cabriolet

1. You strongly feel a natural linearity during acceleration, both sensorially and physically, which conveys the car’s meticulous craftsmanship.

2. The increased downforce felt when the spoiler is fully deployed is very reassuring, and even an aging driver with declining dynamic vision can rely on it well.

3. The suspension comfort and road surface feedback at low city speeds both seem enhanced, and this duality is fascinating.

4. The precision of the handling has improved further, and on roads like Hakone, it feels like you can draw your desired line just by adjusting the grip on the steering wheel.

5. While I didn’t really experience the benefits of 4WS or PDCC in the Macan, for some unknown reason, the feeling of weight transfer around the hips in curves is incredibly pleasant this time—words can’t describe it.
(The Macan had full options on drivetrain and chassis, but the 4S options were mainly Chrono and Sport Exhaust, while this time many features are standard, with Sport Exhaust and 18-way seats being the main options. Neither the 4S nor the Turbo have PCCB, PDCC, or sports suspension installed.)

That’s what they said. The Turbo Cabriolet sounds amazing—must be the best…!

The Allure of the 911 Turbo Cabriolet

My husband muttered while reading the comment, “Of course, a Turbo Cabriolet must be absolutely incredible…! And what they’re saying sounds spot on.

He’s long dreamed, “If I were to buy a 911 Turbo model, it’d have to be the Turbo S Cabriolet,” and when he ran his ideal spec through the configurator, it came to 33 million yen (about $300,000) (LOL).

That’s so expensive—way too much… you could buy a house for that. But I guess imagining it on the configurator is the most fun part (laughs).

Thank you again to the reader who shared the differences between the 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet and the Turbo Cabriolet!
