Best to take photos while it’s still clean.

It’s been nine months since our Panamera Turbo was delivered. Dust has started to gather on the steering wheel, and our younger daughter has managed to get a little runny nose and drool on the seats (sorry for the gross details!). I try to wipe things down whenever I notice them, but it suddenly occurred to me that I should take some photos of the interior while it’s still clean.

The Panamera Turbo comes with quite a lot of interior equipment as standard (Considering what it costs, I’d be disappointed if it didn’t come with plenty of features! lol). Here’s what’s included:

・Front comfort seats (memory package / 14-way power adjustment)
　…The driver and front passenger seats offer power adjustment for seat height and position, backrest angle and length, and four-way lumbar support. The seat positions, steering column position, and exterior mirror angles can each be saved to memory. Map pockets are fitted to the back of both front seats.
・Heated seats (front and rear)
・Smooth leather interior
[Roof]
・Alcantara roof lining (including A-, B- and C-pillars and sun visors)
・Electric roll-up sunblinds
[Center console]
・Cup holders
・PCM / Connect Plus / two rear USB charging ports

　…Multifunction controls let you operate the audio system, selected PCM features, and the onboard computer.

Our Panamera Turbo also has the optional “Carbon Interior Package (carbon-fiber trim on the dashboard, front and rear door panels, and center console).”

The Dark Walnut Interior Package is also popular, but I think the carbon trim gives the cabin a sportier feel. Let’s take a closer look at the interior, one area at a time.

1. Seats: photos and details

We chose black leather seats for our Panamera Turbo.

Black seats are definitely good at hiding dirt. Here’s a look at the material (I hope you can make it out…). The word “turbo” is embossed on the headrests.

The logo appears on all four seats, including the rear seats, but you can choose to have the “turbo” headrest logo removed at no extra cost. The seats also have 14-way power adjustment, with controls like these.

The buttons are shaped to correspond to the parts of the seat they adjust, making them really easy to use. Once you’ve found your ideal position, press the “1” or “2” button on the door to save it to memory (including the exterior mirror angles, and so on).

2. Roof: photos and details

The Panamera Turbo comes standard with an Alcantara roof lining—a seriously luxurious touch. My photography skills aren’t great, though, so I’m not sure how well I’ve captured where the Alcantara starts and ends, or what the material feels like…

Even the sun visors (if that’s what they’re called!) are finished in Alcantara.

Alcantara looks fantastic, but with young kids, Alcantara seats would probably end up covered in drool and runny noses. I like the idea of having it just on the upper surfaces, where it’s less likely to get dirty.
